what is ozone sauna therapy
Ozone sauna therapy is a form of alternative medical treatment that increases the amount of oxygen to the body through the introduction of ozone into the body.
During the therapy, ozone is introduced into the steam sauna cabinet and enters the body via the skin. It penetrates the tissue, blood, lymph and fat, oxidizes toxins (making them easier to eliminate) which are then eliminated through the skin by sweating.
Since the skin is the largest organ of elimination, the majority of the toxins are sweated out, sparing the liver and the kidneys most of the work.
Ozone can be used to treat a variety of chronic disease and has also been proven to reduce the effects of many diseases, ailments and conditions including:
- Musclo-skeletal system disorders (rheumatic diseases, arthritis, myositis, osteo-arthritis, tendonitis, muscle spasm, prolapsed disc)
- Cardiovascular system disorders (angio-neuropathy, coronary vascular insufficiency, migraine, hypertension, peripheral vascular diseases, reflex sympathetic dystrophy and disorders of peripheral blood flow due to arterial occlusive diseases)
- Skin (including bacterial, fungal and viral infections, bed sores and bad healing ulcers, eczema, minor or extensive recent burns, psoriasis)
- Other (helps in some auto immune disorders, bronchial asthma)
Oxygen treatments provide a safe, highly effective method for the recovery of oxygen to all body systems, which in turn promotes healing. The effects are cumulative. The body begins to work more efficiently as it restores the oxygen balance closer to the higher natural range it was originally designed to function with. It helps reverse the physical and psychological effects of oxygen deprivation from poor health – air pollution – water pollution – food pollution – aging. Maintaining proper oxygen levels in the body is a vital ingredient to health, vitality, physical stamina and endurance.
how does it work
- You sit comfortably in an Ozone resistant steam sauna cabinet with your head protruding.
- Adjustable volumes of steam and ozone/oxygen is circulated inside the unit.
- Moist heat opens the pores and dilates the capillaries.
- Heat and humidity is not the main method of treatment but they are a tool for the treating gases to be delivered to the tissues.
- Ozone reacts with lipids & water film on skin to produce reactive oxygen products (ROS’s) & lipo protein products (LOP’s).

benefits of increased oxygen
- Increases energy levels
- Increases stamina and endurance
- Enhances the absorption of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, proteins and other important nutrients
- Stimulates increased uptake of oxygen
- Rapid fatigue recovery
- Lowers resting heart rate
- Kills infectious bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, but does not harm the “Good” microorganisms the body needs
- Relieves pain
- Improves circulation
- Strengthens the immune system
- Increases fat metabolism resulting in loss of body fat
- Calms the nervous system
- Improves chemical imbalances in the body
- Relieves headache
- Accelerates healing time for injuries
- Lowers blood pressure
- Allows the body to direct enough oxygen to its primary functions without having to draw on valuable reserves
- Helps reverse premature aging
- Relieves symptoms of PMS in women
- Helps displace damaging free radicals
- Helps neutralize harmful toxins in cells, tissues and bloodstream
- Ozone reduces or eliminates clumping of red blood cells (RBC's) typical in circulatory diseases
- Ozone increases flexibility and elasticity of RBC's thereby increasing oxygen carrying capacity
-
Improved viscosity of the blood also leads to better oxygenation of the tissues

benefits of ozone sauna
- Relaxes and loosens muscles by reducing the build up of lactic acid and increasing muscle flexibility
- Helps oxidises toxins facilitating their excretion/elimination through the skin, lungs, kidneys and colon
- Boosts blood circulation, helping injured muscles to repair quicker.
- Stimulates vasodilatation of peripheral blood vessels relieving pain and speeding the healing process
- Eliminates bacterial and viral infections of various kinds.
- Speeds up the metabolic processes of the inner organs and endocrine glands resulting in a loss of circa 200-450 calories in a 20 minute session
- Inactivates viruses; oxidizes bacteria, yeast, fungi, parasites, protozoa
- Stimulates the immune system, speeds healing
- Cleans arteries and veins, reduces red cell clumping, improving circulation
- Purifies the blood and the lymph
- Normalises hormone and enzyme production
- Reduces inflammation
- Reduces pain, calm nerves, prevents shock

stimulation of oxygen metabolism and exercise
- In a process called glycolysis, a glucose (sugar) molecule is broken into two pyruvic acid molecules.
- A pyruvic acid molecule enters the muscle cell, where it combines with oxygen to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the source of muscle energy.
- When insufficient oxygen is present to create ATP, the pyruvic acid becomes lactic acid.
- During intense exercise, the lactic acid cannot be removed quickly enough, and it collects in the muscle cells, causing fatigue.
- Ozone raises tissue oxygenation throughout the body, allowing the body to get the oxygen it needs to create ATP for energy and flush out the lactic acid that causes muscle fatigue.
